The interpretation of your astrology chart begins on the following page.
You will find that the interpretation of your chart is written in simple language, uncluttered by astrological jargon. If a statement appears to contradict another statement, then you exhibit these opposite qualities at different times in your life. For example, a statement that you are highly sociable and gregarious and a statement that you prefer solitude seemingly contradict each other; this means that you vacillate, and need both sociability and solitude at different times.
The astrological factor that the interpretation is based on is also given. The astrological factor is given for the benefit of astrologers and students of astrology. If you are not a student of astrology, then obviously the factor will not be meaningful to you, and you can ignore it.
If you find this interpretation of your birth chart interesting and informative, you might want to discuss your birth chart with a professional astrologer to learn more about the astrological influences on your life.

Chapter 1: General Characteristics
Your fundamental needs, values, and orientation towards life are symbolized by the four astrological elements. Each person has their own unique balance of these four basic energies: fire (warmth, inspiration, enthusiasm), earth (practicality, realism, material interests), air (social and intellectual qualities), and water (emotional needs and feelings).
Your “elemental make-up” is described below. Remember that most people are “unbalanced” or lopsided, and if you are lacking or deficient in a certain element (or elements), it simply means that you need to consciously develop that aspect of yourself to learn to appreciate and/or to work harder in that dimension of life.
Sometimes we overvalue the element that we are least endowed with, sensing it as a lack within ourselves, but more often we neglect or ignore it. The qualities described below will be reiterated and explained in more detail in the following chapters.
You are a fiery individual , filled with tremendous passion and zest for life. You thrive in situations where there is energy, excitement, action, movement, dynamism and drama. Along with your exuberant vitality and enthusiasm, you have an acute ability to visualize future possibilities, and an almost childlike faith in “what could be”. Unless you have a vision, an aspiration, or a wonderful dream to believe in, you are not completely happy. You have a great sense of the majesty, the grandeur, and the adventure of life but tend to overlook the magic in small things and everyday life.
You also have a strong urge to express yourself spontaneously and creatively, without conforming to others ways or conventions. Personal freedom and independence are very important to you and you resist being “owned” or dictated to. Secretly you are apt to feel that you are special, charmed, somehow above or outside the realm of “ordinary” people and mundane life.
You have a strong ego and can be excessively proud, dominating, or concerned with self. You have a positive, vigorous, active approach to life, and forcing your intentions and desires upon circumstances feels more natural to you than flowing with or just allowing life to unfold. Essentially you are very “yang” (assertive, competitive, outgoing, direct), and the “yin” qualities of passive acceptance, receptivity, gentleness, and subtlety do not come easily to you. You inspire others with your generous spirit, your idealism, spark, confidence, and joie de vivre, but you can also irritate them with your self-centeredness and your insistence on expressing yourself freely without regard for others’ needs or opinions. You also have trouble being content in the present and would benefit by learning to consciously pacify your restlessness and developing the qualities of tranquility and peacefulness.
As discussed in more detail in Chapter 3, your need to participate socially and to communicate and relate to other people is really quite strong, and thus you need to be willing to subdue some of the above-mentioned insensitivity and competitiveness in order to do so.

Chapter 2: How You Approach Life and How You Appear To Others
The following is a description of your basic stance towards life, the way others see you, the way you come across, the face you show to the world. In Chapter 3 you will read about the “The Inner You: Your Real Motivation”, which describes the kind of person you are at heart and where your true priorities lie. Read this chapter and the next one and compare them – there may be significant differences between them, in which case “the inner you” may not shine through and others are in for some surprises when they get to know you at a more than superficial level. This chapter describes the costume you wear, your role in life, while Chapter 3 talks about the real person inside the costume.
High-spirited, enthusiastic, and exuberant, you love adventure, change, exploring new territory, and are not happy confined to the same safe, familiar, secure little world all the time. You have a strong restlessness and yearning for something greater than anything you’ve yet experienced, and you often live in your dreams and visions for the future. You tend to believe that the grass is greener somewhere else and you like to keep moving, either literally or figuratively. Idealistic and optimistic, you always expect something better ahead. You love to have a goal, something to aim for, but once you achieve it you are on to something else. You are ever on the lookout for new opportunities and you are a gambler, willing to take risks and to break new ground. The possibility of discovering something new is what makes life interesting for you. You have great faith in life and bounce back quickly from disappointment and failure.
Freedom-loving and independent, you cannot tolerate being caged for very long, and friends and loved ones must respect your need for freedom of movement. Binding commitments and responsibilities often weigh heavily upon you and you may resist “growing up” and taking on the limitations of adult life.
You are friendly and outgoing and have a great sense of fun and playfulness. You are also philosophically minded and often quite outspoken about your convictions and beliefs. Sometimes you get carried away with your enthusiasm of the moment and you tend to exaggerate. You are often a big talker, a big maker of promises, and you are usually pretty convincing. You do everything in a big way, a generous way. You like to have the best, and you heartily dislike stinginess, littleness, or pettiness. Your vision is always large. You are able to perceive the big picture, general patterns and principles, and are well suited to politics, business, higher education or religion.
Other people see you as a good sport and a good friend, but one who is not always consistent and dependable. You may also be seen as a wise person since you do not get bogged down in pettiness and trivialities, and are able to communicate a larger way of looking at situations, one that opens up new potentials. You are a person who believes in miracles, grace, or just plain good luck, someone who never gives up on life, and you inspire and encourage others to keep looking forward.
You can get by in life almost by personality alone. There is a radiant, warm, attractive quality about you that others can’t help responding to favorably. Usually you appear confident and clear about who you are, and it’s very difficult not to notice you or feel your influence when you are around.

Chapter 3: The Inner You: Your Real Motivation
Though you may seem breezy, independent and freedom-loving (as mentioned in the previous chapter), actually you are not completely happy without a partner. You enjoy being on the move and exploring new territory – but you want a traveling companion! A fulfilling relationship that also does not restrict you is your ideal.
Harmony and balance are your keynotes. You instinctively understand the need to accommodate other people’s interests and desires, and you are always fair and willing to meet the other person half way. Tactful, diplomatic, and with considerable social awareness, you do all you can to avoid conflict and discord. You express a spirit of cooperation and compromise and often achieve through charm and discretion what would have been impossible to achieve by a direct, forceful approach.
Getting along with others and pleasing them may be TOO important to you, for you can be too dependent on others’ approval and opinions to make your own decisions. You will rarely act without getting the counsel and feedback of other people. You prefer sharing and doing things together rather than on your own. Being alone feels very unnatural to you, and you have a strong need for a partner and intimate one-to-one relationships.
You invest a great deal of your energy in personal love and you are very idealistic and romantic about marriage. You seek a partner who is your equal intellectually, and who is capable of a mental relationship as well as a physical and emotional one. You make a thoughtful, considerate friend or lover, and you enjoy the traditional symbols of love – courtship, flowers, etc. Relationships are like an art to you, one that requires time, attention, and creative effort. You appreciate a partner who is subtle and polished, never coarse or dull or blunt.
Fairness and equality, both in your personal life and in the world, are extremely important to you. If you fight about anything, it is often about something you feel is unfair and unbalanced. Balance is very important to you and you believe in moderation in all things, avoiding fanaticism and extremism of any sort.
You also have a strong need for beautiful, harmonious surroundings and a natural sense of artistic style and grace, which is reflected in the way you dress, furnish and arrange your home and workspace, etc. Everything must be aesthetically pleasing and appropriate. Either working with people as a counselor, advisor, consultant, or negotiator – or in an artistic field such as design or photography, would be fulfilling to you.
Leading groups and classes, and being involved in community efforts, social activities, events or movements are areas where you really shine and express your creativity. An awareness of politics or the larger social impact of individual actions is natural to you.

Chapter 4: Mental Interests and Abilities
You have good mental concentration and the ability to become completely immersed in your work. You seem to know things at an instinctive, nonverbal level and prefer learning through direct experience or apprenticeship rather than vicariously via books or lectures. You have mechanical ability and work well with your hands. You could become adept at sculpture, pottery, carpentry, stained glass, or anything that involves doing and making things manually. Biology (and related fields such as medicine) interests you as well. You also have an instinctive rapport with animals, and may feel you relate better to them than to people! You tend to become narrowly focused upon your own specialized interests and may not have much to say or communicate outside that field.
You have a good understanding of group trends, politics, mass movements, and community affairs. Sharing ideas with groups of people is something you do well and are likely to be involved with. You collaborate well in group efforts and are likely to be part of a successful team or large organization.
Your mind is serious and deep, and you will rarely offer an opinion on any matter until you have thoroughly considered and studied it. You have excellent powers of concentration and enjoy studying or thinking deeply in solitude. You have an aptitude for research or doing mental work which requires precise, organized thinking, attention to detail, and a methodical approach. You are conservative and something of a skeptic, and may be narrow-minded and closed to new ideas, especially if there is no concrete proof or scientific verification of them. Socially, you are rather reserved, uncommunicative, and uncomfortable with light, frivolous conversation.

Chapter 5: Emotions: Moods, Feelings, Romance
Open and generous, you enjoy a wide circle of friends and acquaintances and you thrive on sociability and fellowship. You are adventurous, playful, freedom-loving, and always ready for a good time. You rarely allow obstacles or difficulties to keep you down, for no matter how bleak the past or present, you always expect a better, brighter future. In fact, you may be uncomfortable with your own or other people’s problems and emotional pain. You often try to “cheer up” or offer philosophical advice to those who are hurting, but unwittingly you may avoid or ignore the emotions involved.
Friendship means a great deal to you, perhaps even more than love or romance. For you to be happy, your mate must be your best friend and encourage your aspirations and ideals. You also need a great deal of emotional freedom and mobility.
You have a soft exterior and tend to relate very personally and sympathetically to other people. However, you sometimes let your emotions overpower your reasoning and logic, and consequently you are sometimes biased in your opinions. You are impressionable and rather gentle, or at least that is the way you appear. Your feelings are on the surface and you can not hide your emotions.
You tend to surround yourself with people who are gentle, sensitive, peace-loving, and artistically or spiritually inclined, and there is a strong element of mutual compassion and sympathy in your personal relationships. It is easy for you to tune in psychically to other people’s feelings and emotional worlds. You may share this type of telepathic link with your mother, sisters, or female friends in particular.
You enjoy emotional intensity and are attracted to the mysterious, the unknown, and to dangerous or challenging experiences which draw on all of your inner resources. You are able to handle an emotional crisis very well, and you are interested in the deep roots of emotional problems and how to cure them. You insist on bringing feelings between people out into the open, for you want real closeness and intimacy with others, without barriers or secrets.
In love, you desire a deep, intense, passionate union with your beloved and form very strong emotional bonds and attachments. You “marry” the person you love at a very deep emotional level, and are often extremely possessive and jealous of any threat to that union. You can be very demanding with your love partner. You tend to be somewhat suspicious of even platonic, friendly relationships your partner has. If you are ever betrayed, you are capable of hating with as much force and intensity as you once loved. You are attracted to people who have an aura of mystery about them.
You may hide your affections or fall in love with a person who is unavailable to you. You are likely to have some karmic relationships in this life that will need to be dealt with and released. Once that happens, you will find your relationships are much easier and open.
You also have a love of the mystical and spiritual side of life. You enjoy being alone and can benefit a great deal from inner exploration. In fact, it is through spiritual growth that you will transform yourself and your relationships. Your compassion is strong and you will have a strong desire to help others. You will find the deep love you seek through spirituality and by being of service in the world.
You appreciate beautiful surroundings and congenial company, and though you enjoy helping people, you will rarely put yourself out too much in order to do so. You are good-humored and generous at heart but inclined to be lazy.
You have a great rapport with the opposite sex, and love, romance, and passion are absolutely vital to your well-being. It is rare for you to go very long without an intimate companion. The physical component of a relationship is very important to you. Artistic creations and projects are another way for you to channel your passion.
You experience powerful, compelling emotional and sexual attractions, and you may feel that you have little choice or control over your desires. You have an intense need for love and may be emotionally greedy or insatiable. Your love life is passionate and often tumultuous and painful as well. Jealousy, power struggles, or possessiveness can become areas of conflict in your relationships. Positively, you can be unusually creative and bring about beneficial and healing changes in the lives of others, motivated by your deeply felt love.

Chapter 6: Drive and Ambition: How You Achieve Your Goals
You are serious about your ambitions, and disciplined, dedicated, and tenacious in pursuing your objectives. Your drive and energy are directed toward practical material accomplishment and achieving concrete results. You also strive to be in a position of authority and social influence; you enjoy being the person who is in command.
You are hard-working and capable of foregoing immediate comfort in order to achieve your long-range goals. You can easily become a workaholic and are very responsible and conscientious about doing a thorough job.
Realistic and pragmatic, you are an excellent strategist. You attain success by formulating a conservative and workable plan and following through with it. You are not a gambler when it comes to attaining your goals; you depend on your own efforts and perseverance rather than good fortune. You have a natural shrewdness and instinct for business or organizational management.
You energetically pursue your financial and material desires and are likely to earn quite a bit of money, and spend it freely. Be wary of get rich quick schemes. You may earn money through work involving engineering, mechanics, machinery, weapons, metals, sports, the military or government.
You may have to overcome something in your past in order to achieve your long-range goals and ambitions. Sometimes you’re apt to feel pulled in two different directions — what others expect of you or what you need to do to progress, versus what your old conditioning or your emotional predisposition would have you do. Overcoming the pull of the past is the key.
Your career is apt to involve beauty, adornment, the arts, or entertainment. You personal charm and appeal are significant factors in your profession, as well. You are very good at selling and promoting — whether it is yourself, or your product or company.
The road to success, professional advancement, and fulfillment of your long-range goals is apt to be easier and smoother for you than for many. Partly this is due to getting a great deal of support — financial, emotional, or both. Probably someone early in your life really believed in you and had high expectations for you. You contribute to your own success by having large goals, and by including, helping and enlisting the aid of friends and others in reaching those goals. A lack of selfishness or pettiness is a great boon to you. Whatever you do is apt to be expansive and eventually quite prosperous.
You are attracted to careers which are somewhat unusual, creative, or avant-garde, and which offer you a maximum amount of freedom and independence. The nine-to-five routine is really not your cup of tea. You may make your living in diversified ways rather than focusing on one specific area or talent, and you’re happiest when you can create a place in the world for your unique combination of different talents and interests. It is hard and unnatural for you to try to fit yourself into a ready-made mold.

Chapter 7: Growth and Expansion: Areas That You Enjoy
You make others feel accepted and comfortable. You have a knack for breaking down feelings of alienation and you make others feel included and a part of group activities. You have a loving, protective side that wants to take care of everyone. Creating a supportive atmosphere that is nourishing both to yourself and to others is one of your strengths.
Also, your home and heritage are important to you, and you maintain close connections to your past.
You are successful in dealing with other people’s money or material assets, either through your work or by combining and sharing what you have with someone else (marriage or business partner). An “inheritance” (either material or psychological) which comes through your spouse or other close partner is likely to benefit you immensely.
You are very enthusiastic and high-spirited. You inject a positive, optimistic note into any endeavor, and others enjoy your fun-loving and enterprising attitude.
You have a desire to escape from the demands of everyday life, and reach out to something bigger, more exotic, more exciting. Traveling is good for you. You may also daydream, fantasize, or philosophize a great deal.

Chapter 8: Areas That Challenge You Or Are Difficult For You
You both yearn for, and fear, being emotionally vulnerable with others and experiencing deep emotional intimacy. Trusting others and letting yourself be known in a deep way may not come easily to you. You can be very self-protective and may be somewhat secretive. Learning to relinquish control in personal relationships and to be completely open are important lessons for you in this life.
You may have nebulous but ever-present guilts and fears that are difficult to pinpoint or eradicate. It’s as if you don’t trust Life itself, and are always seeking ways to defend yourself from its dangers and its unknowns. You must learn to overcome your ingrained habit of discouragement and anxiety, and to see the world more as a friendly place than as a treacherous one.
Now we will discuss patterns of behavior which you instinctively and habitually revert to when under stress – a mostly unconscious process and one which you are apt to overdo because it is so familiar and thus easy for you. The direction you need to follow in order to develop balance, greater awareness, and wholeness is also described.
You have a great capacity for sympathy, tenderness, and caring, which is a gift that you are apt to overdo at times. For balance, you need to develop mature self-discipline, self-control, and personal responsibility.
When under stress, you have a strong instinct to retreat back into the nest, to be a child again, or to become overwhelmed with feelings and longings to be taken care of. Also, you may encourage others to depend upon you emotionally (and otherwise) to an unhealthy degree. You need to learn how to set limits and to turn off the flow of support when necessary.
The arena you are most likely to wrestle with these issues is in your dealings with money, financial security, tangible assets and possessions. The qualities described above are ones you need to integrate in tangible ways: how you make a living, building assets and a secure material base, what you do with the resources you have. Try to avoid over involvement or entanglements with other people’s money matters, legal business, and personal affairs.

Chapter 9: Originality and Imagination
Areas Where You Are Creative, Unique, Unstable, or Compulsive
Your life is characterized by sudden disruptions and events which change the direction of your life quite unexpectedly. You may be impatient and reckless at certain times, impulsively acting out your urge for new life and change. You are an emotionally complex person and you are capable of intense, unexpected outbursts of feelings and desires.
If you share material assets and resources with another person (as in a marriage or business partnership), your fortunes are likely to fluctuate wildly or change quickly for better or worse.
You are idealistic in your social and political outlook, and your ideals may impel you to join clubs, organizations, communities of like-minded people, or groups that share your vision and your concerns.
You have strong philosophical views and there are times in your life when you passionately crusade for a cause that you deem noble and of utmost importance. Although your intentions are good, you may not be as objective as you think you are, and your views are apt to be more colored by personal experiences and concerns than you realize. Nevertheless, you can also be instrumental in bringing about positive change in the world. Also, you may radically change or revise your own personal beliefs, even your most cherished convictions, many times during your life.

Chapter 10: Generational Influences: Your Age Group
In this chapter we will discuss characteristics and traits of your generation. Of course, you may not share all of the characteristics of your generation, but you are greatly affected by the tone that is set by your generation.
The first topic is “The Subconscious and Emotional Drive of Your Age Group”. In this section we will describe a deeply felt urge, even compulsion, of your age group. This deeply felt drive comes to the surface with great force and power, and consequently leaves in its wake considerable upheaval and change. The second topic is “The Ideals and Illusions of Your Age Group”, that describes the dreams, fantasies, and spiritual aspirations of your age group. The third and last topic is “What is New and Different in Your Age Group”, which describes areas in which your age group tends to be innovative, inventive, unusual, and also where it may be unstable and unreliable.
The characteristics described below may affect a group of people for anywhere from a few years to about 30 years. There are one or more different astrological factors described in each of the three sections below.
The Subconscious and Emotional Drive of Your Age Group
You are part of a 20 year period that has a proud and self-reliant attitude. You are a generation that is very concerned with self-development and personal integrity. Women’s rights and minority rights are issues that your generation has fostered and they reflect your concern with individual respect, integrity, and honor. Your age group has a deeply felt sense that each person has an equal right and opportunity to fully develop his or her inner potential.
However, your group also finds it challenging to be part of a team which can make group efforts contentious. You also have a tendency to defy authority and often feel that no one has the right to tell you what to do. The strong movement to refuse drafting into the military is one example of your age group’s strong sense of individual rights and freedom.
Your age group has popularized the idea of self-development, and has contributed a great deal to the development of individual potential as well as human rights.
The interest in personal development also sometimes manifests as a fascination with particular individuals and a great deal of hero worship. Every generation, of course, has lots of idols, but your generation is particularly prone to needing a specific individual to represent and embody an idea or feeling, and to serve as a focal point of interest.
The Ideals and Illusions of Your Age Group
You are part of a 14 year group of people who have a very idealistic sense of brotherhood and universal cooperation, which, among other things, fostered the peace and freedom movement. Your age group is also interested in the spiritual philosophy and ideals of other cultures, and is not at all dogmatic in its approach to religion. You incorporate the approaches of other religions. Your age group tends to have an eclectic approach to religion, utilizing elements from many religious perspectives (e.g. Eastern and Western), and finds it difficult to follow traditionally defined religious practices.
A gullibility and an unwillingness to be decisive and judgmental inclines your age group to be easily deceived, and consequently many of the well-intended ideals and goals are frustrated by a lack of clear purpose and direction.
You were also born during a period that lasted approximately 5 years and is characterized by an unusually high degree of imagination and sensitivity. You are part of a group of people who are very inspired but also unstable. The bizarre and unusual are standard fare among your age group. Your generation also inspires intense political movements that are often fanatical or unreasonable in their goals.
The entire generation to which you belong has tremendous opportunities for spiritual rebirth and awakening. This will not be forced upon you or precipitated by unavoidable events, rather it comes from an inner yearning and a natural propensity to seek the depths.
What is New and Different in Your Age Group
You are part of a 7 year group of people who have a strong need to feel unrestrained by family ties and personal heritage. Your age group tends to find personal relationships very restrictive, and also tends to feel alienated and distant from family ties and concerns. Forming long-term personal relationships is difficult for your age group, and divorce rates are high in your group. However, you are an emotional and sensitive group also, and this instability is painful at times. Finding personal freedom and closeness with others at the same time is a big challenge for you.
